A message from the Headteacher

It is an absolute privilege to be Headteacher of St Leonard's Church of England Primary School. We have stunningly beautiful surroundings, situated on Whalley Road in Langho and serve the local villages of Langho, Billington and Brockhall.  Our Nursery children 'Little Lennies' get off to a flying start in our Early Years provision, and we welcome up to forty five children into Reception Class, each September.  Our school is a Church of England primary school that was founded in 1873 and the Christian principles on which it was founded are still important today. We enjoy very close links with the parish of St Leonard’s.

We are a happy school family where children enjoy learning and playing together.  Our hard working and dedicated staff team recognise that every child is unique, personalising learning to meet individual needs, celebrating diversity and provide a caring and inclusive environment where all children can reach their full potential in all aspects of school life.  Throughout their learning journey, children are challenged and inspired to develop a deep love of learning - we equip them with the knowledge and skills they need to be fully prepared for their next stage in education. 

We are blessed with a wonderful environment for teaching and learning, including a beautiful woodland and we offer wide ranging curriculum enhancement opportunities and experiences.  Children are always encouraged to share and develop their talents whatever they may be, from excelling on the sporting field to learning to play a range of musical instruments.
